Cinna Blackwater - The heiress of the Blackwater estate, a wealthy family built from from monopoly of train lines and fur trading companies. Beatrice Blackwater, unable to bear a daughter, took in Cinna when she was a young girl. It is tradition that women are the head of the household, thus making her first in line to the family fortune, followed by seven brothers.
Physical Stature
General Information Cinna is not blood related to the Blackwater family. Instead, she was found begging in the Eastern cities by Ezra, who is now both her caretaker and business adviser. She is presumed to be approximately 19 year of age, and is engaged to Beaumont Blackwater, this being an arranged marriage. At the age of 8, she learned how to hunt from horseback, and shortly after at the age of 11, hunted with falconry. At age 14, she took over one of her brother's fur trades, which is now a flourishing company in the Western Mountains specializing in common and exotic furs both from and over the mountains. Now at the age of 19, Cinna travels often for business, personal leisure trips, and hunting excursions. Much of the time, she brings back furs with her to terrorize Beaumont with, and finds pleasure in raising and training her hunting birds. Her prize bird is Hun'lya, a Black Sparrowhawk. "Is there tea to go with this?" -Cinna Did You Know?Cinna is actually one of my very first characters I've become attached to. Originally made in honor of an event, the original idea was dressed very similar to what is currently shown. However, the original Cinna was portrayed as an elf, and was not called Cinna until much later. (I had wanted to use the name with an OC, but I had none to speak of at the time.)
Later on, I developed a liking to birds, and soon after, made her a falconer. Designs widely varies for this character, and the way she looked constantly changed. The original story I was planning to put her in was, after observation, extremely corny and I regretted it highly after I started it, forgot, and dug it back up a few months later. (I daresay, that was deleted as soon as I found it.) |
"Gods have mercy on men whom I have to scorn. Stop laughing Ezra, you know this means you too." - Cinna Personality
Since the heiress was raised in a wealthy household, she is accustom to her manners and formal events, but that doesn't stop the girl from getting personal with nature. When she isn't busy under mounds of paperwork, Cinna trains fledgling birds of prey, is practicing her archery skills, or brushing down horses. Cinna has a soft spot for children, and with Amias & Elias being the youngest of the household, she often spoils them with little toys and sweet candies. Because she and Beaumont are in an arranged marriage, Cinna is far from amused when dealing with him. She often carries small sections of pelt in her purse to deter Beaumont from talking to her, and in general, is very nasty towards him. Hayden Blackwater has been on the verge of canceling the marriage for years because of the constant torture and dejection of his son. Cinna, in private, is fairly ill-tempered. Those who work in the estate assume she is a spoiled brat, when she really just doesn't know how to interact with people. She has a fond love of Amias and Elias, but her tender caring does not always extend it's reach into the family. However, in public, she is all formalities and smiles. With Ezra by her side, Cinna never seems to run out of business deals to strike, or land to debate over. Random Facts!

Regardless, Cinna's personality changed and progressed over the course of a year, from her being quiet and reserved, loud, snooty, and arrogant, to just downright prude, I soon noticed Cinna had a personality somewhat like mine. In some cases, the story itself reflects me and my actions, and all the twisted details in between. There's not much more that I could tell you about Cinna, seeing as how the story is still a work in progress. All I can say though is that I've taken comfort in creating her, and the relationships she will form, as well as finding her, and myself, along the way.
